livin' la pura vida

This past weekend, we had our fall break. A few girls and I spent our free days (Thursday-Monday) at Manuel Antonio (in the Puntarenas province/Pacific Coast of Costa Rica). We had an AWESOME hotel/view and ate lots of yummy food. We also went zip-lining and spent a lot of our team on the gorgeous beaches of Manuel Antonio. Below are some photos from our trip - and in no particular order. If anything, they are in reverse order, so pardon the anti-chronological order of these photos.

We took a canopy tour and went zip-lining! It was CRAZY! (and below, there's a video!)
After our Canpoy Tour, we took a refreshing swim in una catarata.
Our first zip-line.
Part of the group.
El grupo.
The public beach again, right across from the bus stop right before we left.
Ashley y yo, esperando para el autobus. Hace mucho calor!
Our last lunch in Manuel Antonio - muy rico!
After zip-lining, we went to the private/small beach a half hour walk from our hotel. Muy linda!
This was my favorite beach.
Our SWEET villa/hotel room. It fit 6 girls comfortably. We had a kitchen where we could cook dinner, too!
Many times, we'd just sit on the hammock (one at a time) and look out at the awesome view from our room.
The SWEET view. And it was only $8.00 a night per person.
Around sunset at El Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio.
I love this photo - Ash admiring the soon-to-set sun.
This was one of the beaches at El Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio. I swam in the Pacific Ocean for the first time!
There were lots of little hermit crabs crawlin' around.
The girls played around in the waves (las olas) while I decided to be artsy.
We had a lot of fun trying to coordinate this sort of photo...
He was just hangin' out on the beach.
Along the path in la selva - in the jungle.
NEVER go hiking in flip flops. BAD idea!
As we began our hike through the forest to get to the beach in the National Park.
The second night, we made ourselves some yummy spaghetti (but not as good as yours, Mom!)
This is the view we woke up to. We would sit here every morning, eat breakfast, and chill before the day started.

The video of one of the zip-lines - the longest one!
